Frequently asked questions
How much does a certified translation cost?
Prices depend on the language pair, the length and format of the document, how fast you need it and whether notarization or legalization is required. Send us a scan or photo and we reply with a fixed quote.
How long does it take?
Most standard documents such as birth certificates are translated within a few working days. Apostille and embassy legalization depend on the authorities involved; we give you a realistic timeline with your quote.
Do you need my original documents?
For translation, a clear scan or photo is usually enough. For notarization, apostille and legalization, the originals or certified copies are often required. We tell you exactly what is needed before you send anything.
What is the difference between an apostille and legalization?
An apostille is a single certificate accepted by countries in the Hague Apostille Convention. Legalization is a chain of certifications, ending with the embassy or consulate of the destination country, and is used when an apostille is not accepted.
Will my translation be accepted abroad?
We prepare certified translations to the requirements of the receiving authority. Tell us where the document will be used, for example a university in Australia or an immigration office in New Zealand, and we follow their rules.
I live outside Honiara. Can you still help?
Yes. We work with clients in every province by email and phone, and original documents can travel by courier or ship.
Which languages do you work with?
English, Solomon Islands Pijin, Kwara'ae, 'Are'are and other Solomon Islands languages, Pacific languages such as Tok Pisin and Bislama, and world languages including Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Indonesian, French and Spanish.
Is my information kept confidential?
Yes. Documents are seen only by the people working on your order and are deleted when the work is finished, unless you ask us to keep them.
